Leopard hooves

Today's handicraft is a throwback to an age-old kids' game but with a very funny twist that will allow those who rule the roost to start enjoying Spring on the street or the park, becoming their favourite animal. Will we get started?

MATERIALS

Two empty canned food cans

APLI eva foam

APLI silicone gun

APLI scissors

APLI twine

Gimlet

STEP 1

Mark out the measurements of the can on the eva foam, of both the base and the sides.

STEP 2

Cut them out and you will end up with four pieces: two bases and two sides.

STEP 3

Start by sticking the sides with the silicone.

STEP 4

When you have these, stick the bases onto the closed part of the can.

STEP 5

Now you have to make the holes with the gimlet in order to pass the twine through. One through each side and not too far from the base that is already lined.

STEP 6

Cut the twine so that it is as long to allow your kids to use the stilts and put it on each of the holes (from outside of the can moving inwards), tying a knot at the ends.

STEP 7

Make several animal hooves of your choice with the eva foam and leave a considerable margin at the ends to make it easier to later stick them to the can from inside. We have decided to make leopard hooves.

STEP 8

We have also made some sharp claws that we have stuck on each of the fingers.

STEP 9

Stick the animal hooves of your choice onto the cans from the inside and voila! You can now become king of the savannah, or your house!
