How can you decorate your child's room? If you have asked yourself this question and don't know where to start, here is a very good idea: 3D cardboard letters ! Today's handicraft activity uses the phrase “Only for Kids” but you can use any words you want: Inspirational, your children's favourites, such as “”I've got superpowers”, “To infinity and beyond”, or simply your kid's name. paso10 Materials: IMG_9285 STEPS Step 1 If you have not done it yet, download the template for the letters that make the phrase “Only for Kids” here and cut them out. paso1 paso1_bis Step 2 Once you have cut all the pieces out, you must make the markings, so the different sides can be folded easily. We have used a thick needle paso2 Note! only thread the needle through the line once, if you do it twice or more times the card may break. Do not perforate too much, only enough to mark the paper, the minimum amount for it to fold easily. paso3 Step 3 When all the lines are marked, fold the different “legs” of the letter and begin to stick the tabs with APLI silicone glue. If you haven't got silicone glue, use any other adhesive, but APLI silicone glue is very clean and if you use too much, it does not stain the card, which white glue does. paso4 Very important: Do not close the letter yet! We are going to leave it open because we will thread an APLI silk thread to hang it on the wall  later :) paso5 Step 4 Follow the previous steps with all the letters. Don't get impatient, :) it is a long process, but the result is worth it. Step 5 Now we are going to thread all the letters together with the silk thread and the thick needle used for the perforations. Make a knot with the thread and begin to thread it through the upper part of each letter. Always begin with the last letter of each word. paso6_1 Be careful when piercing the card with the needle, so as not to break the card, some letters are more difficult than others, but all can be linked perfectly. paso6 paso6_2 paso6_3 paso7 Step 6 Once they have been linked together, you can close the back. paso8 paso9 Step 7 The phrase is finished, ready to put on the wall of your children's bedroom. paso11 You can add other materials if you want, such as pompoms, stickers, etc. There is no limit to your imagination!
