Handicraft to create friendship bracelets!
Creating friendship bracelets is a very fun handicraft for children to do! With this activity, children will encourage creativity and express their personal style by combining colours and stimulating the imagination.
In addition, manual activities help children develop motor skills, the task of braiding threads requires hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, which help in the physical development of children. We propose three activities to carry out among the children that encourage them to work as a team, and they will learn to collaborate and share ideas.
Material needed:
- EVA foam.
- Pom-poms.
- Tapes.
- Adhesive EVA foam in different shapes: hearts and stars.
- Buttons.
- Scissors.
- White glue.
Braided EVA foam bracelets
Let’s braid the EVA foam! We have used towel effect EVA foam to make a different bracelet. Each child can choose the color they like best and follow the following steps:
- Cut a wide strip of EVA foam and make three cuts without reaching the end to get three strips, and braid.
- Fix the end of the braid with a drop of glue, so the braid does not disarm.
- We make a hole in the tip to be able to tie the bracelet.
Bracelets of EVA foam heart shapes
Beautiful bracelets of EVA adhesive foam heart shapes to share with a friend:
- Glue two equal hearts of adhesive EVA foam and make a hole in the middle.
- The hearts have different shapes and patterns to make the bracelet more fun.
- Tie the hearts with a tape and you already have a precious bracelet to share with your special friends!
Bracelets with pompoms
In this last activity children can let their imagination flow to create their ideal bracelet. We have made a bracelet with the kit of pom-poms and EVA foam stars.
- Glue two stars of adhesive EVA foam and make a hole in the middle.
- Tie the pom-poms and stars on the thread.
- You already have a special bracelet!
